Celltechna, a subsidiary of Northway Healthcare Group, has launched the first gene therapy centre in the Baltic States, dedicated to contract development and manufacturing of gene therapies. Serving an estimated 280 million individuals globally who are affected by rare genetic diseases, this state-of-the-art facility is focused on both advanced research and the production of innovative solutions. By establishing this centre, we are creating 100 specialized roles within the CDMO sector. This initiative highlights our commitment to industry leadership and actualizing a transformative vision for gene therapy.
The Biotechnology Innovation Centre aims to translate complex biotechnology research into practical applications, enhancing biopharmaceutical development and production capabilities through cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
The Smart Service Centre at the Life Science Industry Hub will function as a hub for various life science businesses and collaborative initiatives. Our main aim is to create an environment that promotes collaboration, where technology, innovation, and life sciences come together, enabling advanced research that is both accessible and transformational, and driving industry-wide change.
The Gene Therapy Production Centre will specialize in larger-scale contract manufacturing of gene therapy products. This expansion into a second building dedicated to gene therapy will further enhance our existing capacity to meet growing demand.
The Large-Scale Mammalian Production Centre represents a major breakthrough in the contract development and manufacturing of antibodies for treating various diseases like cancer, asthma, and other inflammatory conditions. The centre will utilize state-of-the-art technologies to ensure the most efficient manufacturing and purification of antibodies for meeting both clinical and commercial requirements.
